Formats that work well

Texas scramble

Teams of four all play from the best shot each time. Keeps mixed-ability groups moving and nobody holds the team back.

Ambrose

A scramble with a team handicap, so stronger and weaker teams compete on level terms.

Team Stableford

Points per hole, with the best two scores counting. Better for groups of regular golfers.

Questions organisers ask

How far ahead should we book?

Three to six months for spring and early autumn dates. Popular clubs fill their corporate dates for May, June and September first.

Can non-golfers come?

Most clubs can add a short lesson with the club professional for beginners, or guests can join for dinner only at a lower price.

Can we brand the day?

Usually. Clubs can arrange branded tee gifts, hole sponsorship boards and a presentation screen for speeches.
